Art Journal 1

After a recent workshop with the lovely Sarah Anderson (http://sarahanderson1.blogspot.com/) where instead of doing Lettering we did a mini course in art journaling (she did throw in some lettering for good measure), I've decided to start my own art journal!

START! One blank ring bound book with some nice hefty thick pages, good for covering with paint! Mmmm not sure bout the ring binding though...

Ta dah! Ring binding removed, much better! Will replace with book rings later on!

WORK IN PROGRESS:
So after an hour or so of splatting paint everywhere, stamping some chosen images and sticking down some choice words... i have come to a stale mate. It could be due to the fact its now gone 11pm on Sunday night! So will put to one side and pick up another day!

Cupcake Kitty Tag - 2 Cute Rubber Stamps

The lovely Heidi for 2 Cute Rubber Stamps (http://www.etsy.com/shop/2cuterubberstamps), asked people on Facebook if they would like to use one of her images to make up an item! Well I couldn't resist especially when I could pick whatever image!

So choose the delicious Cupcake Kitty and made this fun tag :D

Used Promarkers to colour in and some fun cupcake paper I found in my mums paperstash!

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge 56 - Babies

Hey! Look at that! Must of been psychic with this weeks I ♥ Promarkers Challenge as I have a baby card all ready in advance LOL

http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/

My cousin in the states and his wife gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl called Mary Jo on Saturday, so put together this 'battenburg' baby card to send (also bought super cute little baby grows from Primark!).

Using this image from Tiddlyinks, I coloured in with promarkers and stamped the 'Its A Girl!' in the balloons!
(bargin image at $1!)

Home Sweet Home

So me & my mum went and did a workshop yesterday at Paddys Stamping Place (http://paddycosgriff1.blogspot.com/), called Home Sweet Home where you spent the ENTIRE day decorating a cute little house

Was great fun, but want to buy more of these houses now to decorate!!!

Here's mine, it's still a work in progress going to add more bits and pieces to each room.

Full house front on - painted with acrylic paints, then stamped images on using archival inks.

Side view, you can see more of the stamping! Fell in love with that butterfly stamp also can see the roof detail, which is paper punched with a edge punch, cut into strips then layered onto roof.

Attic room, image & saying stamped directly on (with a few dots left over from punching the roof strips lol). Little bat guy is someone whose been floating about so added him to my home lol

Love these 2 rooms, the sayings is one quote which I've managed to split in half.
Quote says "Even the wildest dreams have to start somewhere, allow yourself the time and space to let your mind wander and your imagination fly."

Not keen on this room, but it seems to work. Metal embossed with a tim holtz folder then distressed. Cotton reel painted the same as the house, then decorated.

Basement lol - My fave room out of the three is the one with the crow image, love how I've stamped that!

Simply Betty Challenge 1 - Two is Better than One...

New year and new blog challenges! Took a bit of a break from the challenges due to work and my dog having puppies (see their own blog http://bellwoodpups.blogspot.com/ ), anyway now I'm back and aiming for at least 1 challenge card a week!

So here is my first for one of my FAVOURITE sites - Simply Betty, I just adore her Emo images and used the entire Christmas range for tags

Simply Betty Challenge 1 - Two is Better than One...

So the challenge is too use 2 images to create a valentines/best friends card! I've done a valentines card using a betwitching Betty putting a love spell on Miller!

Also got a big shot for christmas and enjoying using borrowed embossing folders which I've used on one of the hearts and on the purple card going down the side of the card!
