Cordelia Mermaid

This stamp has been giving me grief! One of those ones which when you stamp is easy to lose part of the image! Finally managed to get a good clear image by putting a stack of cards underneath. Will be however next payday be ordering some of that easymount for her and few of my other Kraftin' Kimmie stamps!

No particular reason for this card, just playing about and following a sketch!

Coloured in with Promarkers

Following the sketch from Sketch Saturday, but have had to flip it and slightly unalign for my pieces to fit my card

Well a lovely lady at work had a her baby girl today! So once again I offered to make the card... Hoping this card is ok as in my head it looked a lot better than how it turned out...

HALLOWEEN!!!

Its coming up to the time of the year that I do love, cool crisp autumn days, the nights slowly drawing in closer and... HALLOWEEN :D

Adores Halloween, so when I saw the new Annie Rodrigue stamps for Kraftin' Kimmie and then won 3 of them, well you can imagine what a happy halloween bunny I was :D

So last Sunday I started playing with Moaning Moira and over the past week (due to being busy/tired from work) I've slowely put together this card!

First time I've ever tried to do a patchwork of any sort, not sure if I'll be doing again far too hard to mess up the squares! and then there's the stitching, needle or pen I'm rubbish it seems lol

Moira is coloured in with Promarkers, I thought her hair would look delightful in Pear Green & Moss lol then her dress is in my new favourite PM colour... Slate! (who would of thought, but it has a gorgeous purple hint to it).

Wrong colours... but oh well :D

I love blog challenges I really do, I've said it before, but when I need to make a card there is nothing like a blog challenge especially one with a sketch to help you out! :D

Now for some reason I can't seem to stop myself from offering to make cards at work... I should stop, it would save me a lot of time and stress! But due to my nature I wont and I always give my cards away free!

Now a girl who I worked with last year is getting married next week so offered to make the card. I was told that her wedding colours were creams and browns... but I lack in those so it's purple and silver LOL

Now I have to thank Hazel of the DT on Totally Gorjuss as I pinched her flourish idea on my card, filled up a rather blank and boring space quite nicely :D

Freshly Caught Mermaid

Been working on this on and off all week, it's for the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week which is 'Alter It' and I've had 2 dark chocolate mikado boxes on my window sill for a couple of months now (the boxes lasted longer than the biccies, nummy :D ) so decided to see if I could create a little underwater fantasy world.

I started life out as a biscuit box!

After I cut a hole out the front, I coloured the inside with a yummy acrylic aqua paint, then went over it again dry painting it with a metallic green and metallic blue.
Stamped in some bubbles (which I'm not sure you can really see) and a fantasy castle). Added the lovely Nerissa (coloured in with Promarkers) and a little phishy friend!)

The lovely Nerissa from Kimmie Krafts (by Annie Rodrigue).

Got a little bit stuck once I'd done the mermaid and the inside, wasn't sure what to do with the outside!

Ended up painting it in a grey acrylic paint, then painted over that with my favourite metallic titanium gold acrylic paint. Decorated a tim holtz key hole and added some flowers, gems and pearls.

Look at me now!!!

Piccie with the flash on so you can see the sparkle!
