Fairy Fantastic

Eeeeeee new Kimmie stamps arrived, one of which is the delightful Rosabelle!

Not had much time to play this week with working a late shift, so have had fun today putting together this card :D

Background paper has been handmade, I used purple colorsoft paint to cover an A4 sheet of paper.
Then using a mask went over it with purple distress in (dusty concord).
Scrunched up the paper then flattened it back out.
Used a hint of blue distress ink (faded jeans) on the masked areas then a spritz of purple cosmic shimmer spray!

Similar technique used on the circular background and sentiment where I stencilled a some butterflies before going all over with distress ink then another spritz of shimmer spray!

Art Journal - Midnight Magic

Started working on this last night when I should of been going to bed... But the inspiration grabbed me and wouldn't let me stop until I was going boggled eyed lol

Completely inspired by Tiddly Inks challenge this week of 'Silvery Blues', so had to use colours from this colour list:

Background, used water colours in blues, black and a grey. Then went over with a distress ink blue and black with masks.
Added stamped images to give a garden feel.

Coloured in my images (promarkers of course!), cut them out then played with where I was going to put them.
Image is Druscilla (Tree and moon also from Tiddly Inks but bought when on retirement sale)

Some masked flowers in acrylic paint, words (font downloaded from da font) and liberal amounts of shimmer sprays in Pewter & Twilight Black! Some additional white acrylic and silver pen to highlight areas!

Twinkle twinkle moon!

Art Journal - Halloween!

Now I said final halloween CARD! This is not a card, so therefore does not count lol

Had a friend around to play yesterday and boy did we have fun making a mess! But inspired me to carry on today and create an art journal page for a couple of challenges!

So here it is... I love HALLOWEEN :D Yes this would be dressed up like I normally am (ok add like 200lbs+ for weight, but you get the picture lol)

Started off with yellow, orange and green distress inks, then laid down the lettering for Halloween with Tim Holtz lettering mask and went over with purple, another green and black.

Stamped on a load of my favourite halloween images!

Used my bat die cut for the first time and used it as a mark to get some bats in the background!

Liberally sprayed with cosmic shimmer inks

With flash on, dont know if it makes the colours look better!

Instead I've decided to enter this weeks challenge and see if I can win the chance to be Kimmies Krafty Girl in December! Now Kimmie asked us to use our FAVOURITE stamp... All of them are my faves, so I did 'ibble obble black bobble' (other examles are eeni meenie miniy mo or dip dip dog sh........) and Clarabelle was picked :D

Sketch Saturday, Week 177

In my next life...

Every morning I get up and my big ginger lump Garfield is generally asleep on me or curled up somewhere looking unbelievably comfortable, so while sat at work I started to doodle and drew a cat (not the one on my LO) and then added the title along with some cat words.

Then through out the week I started to play with the background, starting off with watercolour pencils and drawing rough circles before going over them with water...

Now I did mean to do pictures as progressed but as normal forgot LOL so here is the finished page for my Art Journal

A little bit of me...

With all my new stuff that I got last weekend, decided I wanted to pick up on the art journalling (which I erm kinda stopped about 6 months ago lol).

I sat and doodled for awhile pondering, writing words, trying to gain inspiration and then I decided that I'd just pick a couple of colours (blue, pink and purple) & as I already had her stamped up use Batty Princess (as a representation of me) and go from there!

Full page with no flash
I started off the back ground using watercolour pencils (something I've never done before)
Then built it up with stencils (about 3 different ones) using a combination of acrylic paint and distress inks

My little home...
I spotted this Paper Artsy stamp set at the craft show last weekend and loved the little house!
It looks like a little crown :D stamped up in distress ink, I then restamped the window and put in my "Welcome to my World" which I inked up with distress inks again.

I am a Batty Little Princess!
I saw this image on Annie Rodrigues website and fell in love with her! She is now one of my profile pictures on Facebook when I'm feeling a little bit batty!
My hair is actually quite close to this colour at the moment, but possible a bit more red!
She is coloured in with Promarkers, then sparkled with my fave sakura pen Stardust!

Page with the flash on to see the sparkles!
Last weekend I also went a bit mad when I saw bottles of Cosmic Shimmer Mist going for £2 each... I bought 7 lol
I've used 3 on here (very sparingly as I realised that I've not got the space to go wild without covering everything within 3 inch space!

So there it is, a little bit of me! The side that is purply pink and sparkly! Living in my crown castle xxx

Beautiful Belle!

Have had these papers since June and knew what I was going to do with them but have only just got around to it!

Here is my gorgeous Baby Belle, who will be 4 years old on the 17th of this month (where did the time go!!!)

Similar to one of my previous LOs where I made an aperture from the design on the paper, which i think makes it a bit different :D This paper the image seemed a bit like a mirror or picture frame, so cut our the inside. Also cut around the edges of the flowers (as 12x12 sheet and far too large for my 8x8 page)
