Tim Holtz Bird Cage

Feeling a bit at a craft mojo loss at the moment... not a good feeling, especially when your other half tells you that he needs a birthday card for his dad... whose birthday is that day! OOH and it happens to be his dads 50th as well :p

Now what can I say about Garys dad... er not much only met him twice in the 7 years me and Gary have been together, but he does like birds! So one Tim Holtz birdy card coming up...

Having a rest...

Have been very productive for most of July & August, but I think the Pride Dog Show wiped me out on Sunday!

So having a bit of a break then will be back over the weekend :D

Penny & Dronkey

FINALLY! Have been trying to get this layout done using the Cupcake Craft Challenge sketch ALL week, but have been busy with the puppies costumes for the Pride Fun Dog Show tomorrow lol

This is Penny with the Dronkey (dragon-donkey, see Shrek for reference lol) toy that I got free with the Shrek 3 dvd.

Now normally for my girlie pups I try to make the LOs very pretty (and generally sparkly), but no glitter was using in the making of this page! People out there who know me, dont drop down dead LOL

But as the picture if very brown (Penny), blue (the bed) and red (Dronkey!) I've kept the photo colours when picking out my papers.

Have also dug out and used some of my old alphabet stickers (doodlebug) for the title, was feeling too lazy to individually cut each one out with my sidekick :D

Tutu Pretty!

So next weekend I'm taking part in the Pride Pink Dog Show in Manchester (for more details visit here: http://www.pinkdogshow.co.uk ) and their theme is Fairy Tails! :D

For Belle and Pennys costume needed tutus! Found this wonderful tutorial for none sew tutus (which is good as I can't even do faux stitching on cards/layouts all that well!!!), visit here for tutorial:

Now with these tutus they dont go all the way around as I dont want to hinder Belle & Penny being able to walk, so the fabric strips stop just a little under. Also glad I didn't have to go all the way around as they took long enough making 3/4 tutus!! lol

Also instead of tulle, I've used a voile material which I was worried wouldn't work as well but it really has!

Seatbelt Safety!

Well I should be making tutus for Belle and Penny (yes they are the dogs and no you probably dont want to know why LOL), but instead decided to play with the Frosted Design challenges :D

Have managed to combine their Tuesday sketch with their Friday challenge and using my new paper pad by DCWV (Streetlace) have made this rather striking layout of Penny!

I have had to alter the LO slightly due to the size of my photo and also as I work on 8x8 LOs for my pet scrapbook.

As no room left for any journalling, turned my picture into a pocket and made a tag!

Altered papermania chipboard flutterby - painted in metallic pink paint, then stamped with another butterfly image before being gloosy accented :D

Gorgeous George

Feeling very low and sorry for myself as not been well... needed to make a card for someone at work tomorrow which I've had on my to do list all however finally got round to making it!

Love this guy, he's called Gorgeous from Pollycrafts but for some reason he just makes me want to call him George lol (looks quite similar to the guy I'm making this card for actually... hehe)

A very clean and simple layout for this card, mainly due to me having no energy!

Sarah & Angelo's Wedding Cards

My step sister Sarah is getting married next month, so asked my Dad and Stella if they'd like me to make a wedding card (guess I should make one from me as well! :o/)

So started exploring the digital world for a new image as bit bored of the 2 I've got! And found this GORGEOUS image by Christy Croll (http://tiddlyinks.com/), its very Twilight/Bella&Edward but I think its so beautifully drawn. So was added to my digital image stash folder today!

Bit of artistic photography so you can see the glitter lol

Woodstock Frame

Woodstock is one of the 6 pups my baby Belle had last November and is Pennys brother! My dad fell in love with him over New Year and took him on, you've never seen a man love a dog so much... its quite embarrassing lol

Back in June we spent a week in Poole looking after Woody while dad was away and I took this picture of Woodstock on Lyme Regis Beach. Thought as I had a spare frame that I would alter the frame and put Woodys pic in it as a pressie for Dad.

First I painted in a pale acrylic called 'Fawn' first, then dry brushed a metallic gold paint over.
Then stamped with some Inkadinkadoo Circles & Dots set, I used Impress chocolate and ultramarine. You have to be a bit careful after because the ink stays wet, but I dont want to use stazon ink on clear stamps!
Added a bit of bling with some pale blue crystals.
Finally I painted a chipboard W with brown and metallic blue acrylic paint then covered in glossy accents.

Not bad a for a picture frame that came in a pack of 3 from Ikea for £2!!!
