Rockin' Birthday!

At work it was the lovely Jens birthday on Friday, however she had the day off (well do you blame her!) so we'll be doing her birthday when she comes back in Tuesday :D
In preparation I've made her birthday card (its generally my contribution to the 'pot' but I do sometimes chuck in a £1 or 2 if I can afford it).

Jen is married to a musician/producer and is pretty musical herself, so downloaded this image from Kenny K. She's also currently wearing her hair in braids, this was the closest I could get to braids... Also as she liked the fact I did little christmas images of everyone, have coloured in the picture to resemble the delightful Jen :D

6 Pups in a Row

Very unhappy bunny, one of my teeth broke earlier today while I was eating my dinner. So have spent most of the evening sulking.

To try and take my mind off it decided to do the Sketch Challenge from Scrap365 Magazine (http://www.scrap365mag.com/win/sketch.aspx), I liked the sketch as it was quite simple and I had the perfect picture for it!

Secret Santa Gift - 2011

On the craft forum that I've been a member of now for 6 years! We do a yearly Secret Santa, this year I got the lovely Scatty/Alison and I decided to make a little 4x4 altered book for her filled with friendship quotes.

It was supposed to be bound using a bind it all, but then after all the hard work i put into the pages I couldn't bear to bind it and mess it up... So instead put it together with one hole and a bookring!

Get Well Wishes

I've been helping another team out at work this week due to holiday and one of their staff being rushed into hospital! So I kindly offered to make them a get well card :D

Using once again the gorgeous Akiko from Kraftin' Kimmie, I think this one if the fave of my new stamps... Also some tasty new backing paper found today while at Cals Crop in Rochdale!

Base background paper made using a light brown card, walnut stain distress ink and a cherry tree stamp!

Using my star punch border for the first time :D bought it back in october but didn't realise I needed a special gadget to make it work! DOH! Finally got said gadget for Christmas!

iTouch app fun!

I got an iTouch from my dad for christmas and ever since have been playing with all the camera apps where you can alter images, some of which are:

Path
Instagram
Camera+

So yesterday while I was having an inspirational moment and actually colouring something in, I took a picture of Akiko after she'd been coloured with promarkers and the edges inked with distress inks. Then loaded her up into two apps. Here are the results:

First Card of 2012

Have not had much mojo over the Christmas period, probably due to how busy I've been and then majorly flaking out!

So to start me off, gorgeous Kraftin' Kimmie image "Akiko" using 365 Cards sketch from their Sunday challenge:
